Success Stories

We’ve helped young people achieve their ambitions in education, vocations and employment. And we’ve assisted parents in helping their children overcome adversity and find confidence in abilities they didn’t know they had.

A few examples of grants CYT has awarded

Duke of Edinburgh Awards

I just wanted to say a quick thank you for your support and funding for my Duke of Edinburgh Awards over the last few years.

I recently attended Buckingham Palace for my Gold Award celebration and was fortunate enough to be able to talk to the Duke of Edinburgh.

Both the celebration and the whole DofE experience created memories that I will never forget and taught me so many important skills!

Before my Bronze DofE I hated walking, now I regularly hike up mountains for fun purely as a result of completing that expedition and realising that I was actually capable of walking longer distances!

My DofE has had a massive impact on both my past but also now my future, what I go on to do and the opportunities which are now available to me.
